Research Project
Task:

Title: Exploring African Countries

Objective: To explore the history, culture, economy, and

other significant aspects of African countries through the
lens of individuals and societies.

Criteria B: Investigating patterns

1. Choose and research one African country, and create a

map locating it, along with its neighboring countries.

2. Investigate the history of the African country, including

its struggles and achievements.

3. Explore the cultural traditions of the chosen country,

contributing to its diversity.

4. Examine famous landmarks, tourism sites and places of

interest such as natural phenomena or cultural icons.
5. Analyze the country's economy in terms of its major
exports or trading partners.

Criteria C: Communicating information

1. Create a PowerPoint presentation consisting of different

sections on the country separated according to task
prompt, i.e. History, Culture, Economy etc.

2. Add relevant pictures and videos to each section.

3. Use bullet points, highlighting the main points under

each section.

4. Write a conclusion on the country summarizing the

findings.

5. Create a picture gallery that portrays the diverse culture,

landscapes and people of the country, which is included in
the appendix of the presentation.
6. Practice your presentation for smooth delivery

Assessment:
The presentation will be assessed using the following
criteria:
- Investigation of patterns, including location, history,
culture, and economy (Criteria B)
- Communication of information using appropriate media
and presentation techniques (Criteria C)
- Identification, selection, and use of relevant information
(Criteria B and C)
- Analysis and evaluation of information (Criteria B)
- Organization and presentation of findings (Criteria C)
- Picture gallery and bibliography (Criteria C)

INSTRUCTIONS
 PowerPoint to be Turned in before or on 7th May
through mail to Soniya.g@sis.ac.in
 Make PPT with 8 slides excluding the cover page and
thankyou slides.
 Include objective for research on the first slide and
bibliography showing the resources you used to
gather the information towards the end.
 Document the work to a high standard, showing clear
organization of your work, understanding, clarity of
written communication and Critical thinking.
 Document and Submit the first 3 pages on 7th May
