Age of Discovery-
Research Project
You will have to research about European explorers in the Age of
Exploration and their contact with natives. Have in mind that Global
interaction can cause conflicts between civilizations and erase one’s
culture.
1. Formulate a clear and focused research question about a chosen
topic and explain its relevance by Dec. 8th. (B1)
2. Formulate and follow an action plan to investigate a research
question (B2) by Dec 9th. The action plan must include due dates:
• a research question, an introduction according to the instructions,
source chart added,
• a draft of the research paper,
• a final version of the research paper,
• a multimedia presentation. Oral presentations will start on Dec. 21st.
3. Use proper methods to collect and record relevant information in
line with your research question. (B3)
4. The evaluation of the investigation process and results. (B4)
1. The research paper (700 – 1,500 words; EAL students
500 – 700 words) must include an introductory
statement connected with the SoI and the chosen
topic. The layout must be done according to the
instructions in Student Agenda. Follow a Writing
Scaffold paper to structure information and ideas. (C2)
2. You have to use and correctly cite at least 3 sources.
Use in text citing. (C3)
3. With the help of a multimedia presentation present
your findings (3 minutes). (C1)

C1: Prepare and do an appropriate presentation.
C2: With the help of a proper layout (Student
Agenda) include all the necessary elements in your
research project (A Writing Scaffold Paper) and do
not forget to acknowledge your research question
at the start of your research project, a summary of
the investigation process undertaken …
C3: List and cite your sources according to the
Student Agenda, use in-text citing.
