Occupational Health and Safety Policy

PT Saipem Indonesia (Karimun Branch) is committed to achieve the highest standards of Occupational Health and
Safety within Management Practices of Marine & Construction Operations to maintain continual improvement. The
Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) objectives to which the PT Saipem Indonesia (Karimun Branch) assigns
the greatest importance are:

 To minimize the impact to risk of injury and health hazards by identifying the hazards from each phase of
the planned activities and provide mitigation controls;
 To integrate at design stage all safety concepts to ensure reliable and safe operations of the facilities;
 To socialize the HAZID and risk management to all the personnel including its Supplier/Subcontractor
personnel;
 To provide adequate OH&S induction to all yard personnel, both internal and external;
 To prevent the risk of injury incident and health hazards by increasing the awareness of safe working
practices and safe behaviour through internal and external OH&S trainings and awareness to all yard
personnel;
 To ensure all relevant Statutory and Regulatory requirements to the Yard Operations are observed;
 To continually improve standards of OH&S and maintain effective the OH&S Management System, by
conducting internal and external audits;
 To safeguard and promote the OH&S of the Yard workforce as an integral responsibility of management
and leadership;
 Commit towards the sustainability network development and develop sustainable relationship, based on
mutual trust, between Supplier/Subcontractor team and the permanent workforce – recognizing that
integrated teams perform better and safer to everyone’s benefit;

In order to achieve these objectives PT Saipem Indonesia (Karimun Branch) will:

 Assess risks at all stages of the fabrication activities and ensure the implementation of mitigation controls;
 Develop and implement the fabrication safety in design that reduce risk to “as low as reasonably
practicable”;
 Conduct the HAZID and risk assessment prior start the fabrication activities and ensure the
implementation of safe working practices to ensure any risk to personnel is minimized;
 Conduct the OH&S induction to all yard personnel including new personnel and visitors;
 Implement the Yard OH&S Training Program for all yard personnel;
 Comply with the relevant Statutory and Regulatory Requirements to the Marine & Construction
Operations;
 Establishment competent Internal Audit Team;
 Conduct the Leadership in Safety (LiHS) Workshop, promote and implement the 5 Stars Program;

 Conduct the Team Work Workshop for the permanent workforce and Supplier/Subcontractor team to build
an integrated teams and achieve the sustainable relationship;
 Ensure that the PT Saipem Indonesia (Karimun Branch) OH&S Objectives are consistent with this Policy,
measured and reviewed;
 Provide facilities and equipment that are safe to operate.

Responsibility for the implementation of this Policy is an integral part of the duties of Senior Management, all
Managers, Supervisors and Employees. Our Commitment is demonstrated by the establishment of the OH&S
Management System, by implementing of processes and providing adequate human, financial and management
resources to ensure that this policy is achieved.
This Policy provides the framework required for setting OH&S Objectives, for reviewing their applicability in
addition to evaluating the effectiveness of the OH&S system and ensuring all the aspects of the system are subject
to review and continual improvement.
The undersigned declares his personnel support and commitment to an effective OH&S Management System for
PT Saipem Indonesia (Karimun Branch).
