• The 2023 G20 Summit (18th) was held in New Delhi, India on September 9-10,
2023.

• 2023 G20 शिखर सम्मेलन 9-10 शसतंबर, 2023 को नई शिल्ली, भारत में आयोशित शकया गया
था।

• It was the first G20 summit to be held in India.

• यह भारत में आयोशित होने वाला पहला G20 शिखर सम्मेलन था।

• The theme of the summit was "One Earth, One Family, One
Future".

• शिखर सम्मेलन का शवषय "एक पृथ्वी, एक पररवार, एक भशवष्य" था।

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over the G20

presidency to Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

• प्रधान मंत्री नरें द्र मोिी ने ब्रािील के राष्ट्रपशत लुइज़ इनाशसयो लूला िा शसल्वा को
िी20 की अध्यक्षता स प ं ी।

• The 2024 G20 summit will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

from November 18–19.

• 2024 G20 शिखर सम्मेलन 18-19 नवंबर तक ब्रािील के ररयो डी िनेररयो में
आयोशित शकया िाएगा।

African Union Granted Permanent G20 Membership Meeting 2023

• The African Union (AU) became a permanent member of the

Group of 20 (G20) on September 9, 2023.

• अफ़्रीकी संघ (एयू) 9 शसतंबर, 2023 को ग्रुप ऑफ़ 20 (िी20) का स्थायी

सिस्य बन गया।

• This makes the AU the second regional organization to

become a permanent member of the G20, after the European
Union (EU).

• यह यूरोपीय संघ (ईयू) के बाि एयू को िी20 का स्थायी सिस्य बनने वाला िू सरा
क्षेत्रीय संगठन बनाता है ।

• Moussa Faki Mahamat, chairperson of the AU Commission,
Founded 9 July 2002 in Durban,
welcomed the bloc's entry into the G20 as a full member.

Adoption of G20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration
• The New Delhi Declaration is a consensus document adopted by G20
leaders at the 18th G20 Summit in India.

• नई शिल्ली घोषर्ा भारत में 18वें िी20 शिखर सम्मेलन में िी20 नेताओं द्वारा अपनाया गया
एक सवणसम्मशत िस्तावेि है ।

• The declaration was announced by PM Modi on the first day of the

summit.

• शिखर सम्मेलन के पहले शिन पीएम मोिी ने घोषर्ा की घोषर्ा की।

• The G20 Delhi Declaration is a significant document that sets out the
priorities of the G20 countries for the coming years.

• िी20 शिल्ली घोषर्ापत्र एक महत्वपूर्ण िस्तावेि है िो आने वाले वषों के शलए िी20 िे िों की
प्राथशमकताओं को शनधाण ररत करता है ।

These priorities are:

• Strong, sustainable, balanced, and inclusive growth

• Climate change and environmental sustainability
• Gender equality and women's empowerment

Global Biofuel Alliance Launch
• The Global Biofuel Alliance is a new initiative launched by India,
Brazil, and the United States at the G20 Summit in New Delhi on
September 9, 2023.

• ग्लोबल बायोफ्यू ल एलायंस 9 शसतंबर, 2023 को नई शिल्ली में िी20 शिखर सम्मेलन में
भारत, ब्रािील और संयुक्त राज्य अमेररका द्वारा िुरू की गई एक नई पहल है ।

• The GBA includes more than 30 countries and was launched in the
presence of leaders including US President Joe Biden, Brazilian
President Luiz Inacio, and Argentina's Alberto Fernández.

• िीबीए में 30 से अशधक िे ि िाशमल हैं और इसे अमेररकी राष्ट्रपशत िो शबडे न, ब्रािील के
राष्ट्रपशत लुइज़ इनाशसयो और अिेंटीना के अल्बटो फनाां डीि सशहत नेताओं की उपस्स्थशत
में लॉन्च शकया गया था।

• The country has set ambitious targets for the use of biofuels,
including a goal of blending 20% ethanol with petrol by 2025-26.

• िे ि ने िैव ईंधन के उपयोग के शलए महत्वाकां क्षी लक्ष्य शनधाण ररत शकए हैं , शिसमें 2025-
26 तक पेटरोल के साथ 20% इथे नॉल शमश्रर् का लक्ष्य भी िाशमल है ।

India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor
• In a bid to stimulate economic development through enhanced
connectivity and economic integration, India, along with other
members of the G20, has entered into a historic memorandum of
understanding (MoU) to develop an India-Middle East-Europe
economic corridor.

• बढी हुई कनेस्िशवटी और आशथण क एकीकरर् के माध्यम से आशथण क शवकास को

प्रोत्साशहत करने के शलए, भारत ने िी20 के अन्य सिस्यों के साथ शमलकर भारत-मध्य
पूवण-यूरोप आशथण क गशलयारा शवकशसत करने के शलए एक ऐशतहाशसक समझ ता ज्ञापन
(एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर शकए हैं ।

• The proposed corridor will comprise two separate corridors, the

eastern corridor and the northern corridor.

• प्रस्ताशवत गशलयारे में िो अलग-अलग गशलयारे होंगे, पूवी गशलयारा और उत्तरी गशलयारा।

• The former will connect India to the Arabian Gulf and the latter will
connect the Arabian Gulf to Europe.

• पहला भारत को अरब की खाडी से िोडे गा और िू सरा अरब की खाडी को यूरोप से

िोडे गा।

• Apart from India, the other participants will include Saudi

Arabia, UAE, France, Germany, Italy, USA and the European
Union.

• भारत के अलावा, अन्य प्रशतभाशगयों में सऊिी अरब, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात,
फ्ां स, िमणनी, इटली, अमेररका और यूरोपीय संघ िाशमल होंगे।
