Poetry is a type of literature that conveys a thought.

Poetry has its

structure. This includes meter which is stressed and unstressed syllables of the
words in a poem are arranged in repeating pattern. Foot is the unit of this meter.
There are different types of feet which include trochee, anapest, dactyl, spondee,
pyrrhic, and iamb. These differ from one another in their arrangement of
unstressed and stressed syllables.
In my experience, recognizing what type of foot is used can be very
hard. It is not easy to recognize if the syllable is stressed or unstressed. When I
tried to apply it in a poem in the internet, I have an entirely different answer than
what was placed there. I did try to understand it better but still had the same
results. For me, this topic is really hard.
After the discussion, I realize that foot is how long a stanza can be. It
determines the words rhythm. It shows how the stanzas intensity and character.
This makes reading the piece more interesting. I also realized that the foot can be
determined depending on the arrangement of the syllables.
This knowledge I learned can be applied in a few ways. I can use this
to determine the rhythm of a poem. I can also use what I learned to improve my
way of writing poems. I can make my poems more interesting to the readers even
if I am not good at making them. And also, I can use this knowledge to enjoy
reading more poems.
