After doing the 16 personalities test, I began to connect my results with my personal skills and
traits; identifying if the test is an accurate and reliable representation of my personality. In university, my
plan is to take a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business as I have gained an interest in promotion
and creative analyses throughout my high school years. If I am being honest, I have no clue where I am
going to attend university, yet I believe that I will choose a place that gives me a journey filled with
excitement and adventure.

I received the personality type of ESFP, resembling the traits of extrovert, observant, feeling, and
perceiving. Strengths of this personality type include being bold, having an original attitude and persona,
having skills in aesthetics and showmanship, practicality, being observant and excellent people skills.
With going into a career where both collaboration and creative mindsets are two major components
leading to success, these personality traits will enable me to flourish in this environment and connect
with my peers easily. However, the ESFP personality type has its weaknesses. Some examples are, being
strongly emotional and very vulnerable to criticism, avoiding conflict to ensure that they do not get
involved into complicated situations, not having an established plan and would rather “take things as
they go” type of mindset, and finally have difficulty in focusing on dense and unchanging events. This
could affect the compatibility of myself and a job in marketing as business as this career requires
structure and composer to make sure things run smoothly. With connecting with multiple companies
and colleagues, there will be various opinions and unwanted criticism that will be expressed within the
work environment, yet having a stern and confident persona will help you stay focused and motivated in
this job field. The ESFP personality has difficulty with accepting criticism. This can be an immense
backfall if it is not controlled.

Where there are many skills and personality traits that I relate to, I believe that the ESFP
personality type does not fully represent who I am. As a person, I definitely agree with having a bold and
observant personality and always wanting to engage in new activities. At times I tend to become overly
sensitive and become closed off, however in certain environments such as being at school and work I am
able to control my emotions and have a professional mindset. Additionally, I consider myself to be an
analytical person, consistently structuring a plan and future goals. This juxtaposes the typical ESFP
personality type of being overly sensitive to criticism in all environments. Looking into the romantic
relationships and friendships section, I realized many traits that I was unaware of having. With romantic
relationships one thing I value most is spending quality time and showing that I care about the person to
the most. This was something I knew deep down; however, I didn’t know how to word it. The section
referencing friendships also surprised me since I made connections with my everyday values. One point
that I really connected with was discussing of ESFP’s caring sincerely about their friends. I think that this
is something that personally reflects who I am as a person as I am constantly worrying about those, I
care about not just my friends but family as well.
