PROBLEM STATEMENT

The non-profit EPS SALUD INTEGRAL, operated by

the Atlantic Government, has been providing
hospital care to low-income families for more than
3 years.
So that the quality of life of these people can
improve, the Hospital Center is increasingly
increasing the number of affiliated people. Due to
the large flow of patients, they have chosen to
obtain an appointment scheduling system that
allows them to improve the development of the
hospital center.

JUSTIFICATION

By launching the use of the Appointment

Scheduling System, the risk of loss of information
of people linked to the EPS will be reduced since
currently this information is handled manually and
there is a risk that information already registered
will possibly be duplicated, which is a problem. .
Currently the EPS Presta The health service
provider does not have an appointment
scheduling system, which presents several
difficulties:
 Duplication of information already registered.
 Delay in scheduling medical appointments.
 Crowd of People in the Billing Area.
 Loss of Information.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

The Implementation of a Medical Appointment

Scheduling system would be a very useful tool,
both for the administrative staff of the EPS SALUD
INTEGRAL, and for the Patients Registered in said
EPS.
since it would keep control of the planning of
Medical Appointments and the data provided by
the Patients would be stored correctly and
securely.

In this way, productivity will improve since the

scheduling of medical appointments will be faster
and more effective. It will also reduce waiting time
congestion per consultation.

SPECIFIC GOAL

1. Expedite the scheduling of medical

appointments.

2. Manage medical appointments through patient

registration.

3. Manage Medical Prescription Consultation.

4. Manage Medical Prescriptions.

SCOPE

Realizing the Software for Scheduling
Medical Appointments, Complying with the
Requirements Specified Above, To be Used
by the Administrators of the Hospital Center
and the Patients, taking into account the
objective, the purpose is to analyze and
develop a product that is of quality so that
the system meets the expectations for which
it is made.
PROJECT BENEFICIARIES

The Project Has Several Beneficiaries, we can say

that they are divided into two groups. On the one
hand, there are the administrators of the health
center, which includes Doctors, Billing Personnel,
among others.
On the other hand, there are those affiliated with
the Health Center, which include the elderly,
children, young people and low-income adults
who do not have the resources to be cared for in a
private EPS.

IMPACT

The Impact that is intended to be carried out

with this project is positive and positively
impacts both parties:

SOCIAL
The Social Impact that will be achieved with the
Implementation of this Project will greatly benefit
patients since by having a medical appointment
scheduling system they will not have the
obligation to go to the health center to schedule
their appointment since from their Houses can
schedule the appointment virtually.

ECONOMIC
The Economic Impact sought with the
Implementation of the Project seeks that patients
who do not have the financial resources to pay the
cost of transportation to travel in person to the
Health Center to schedule appointments do so in
the comfort of their homes. In this way, the
Quality of Life of Patients is being improved even
more.

RESULTS
Upon completion of the development of this
project, it can be stated that all the
requirements raised from the beginning have
been included.
This makes the final product completely
functional, which does not imply that it
cannot and should be improved, since the
features to be implemented were limited by

characteristics; however, the development of
this project was a success. and all the
