    ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE NEW (Y23) UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

    IIT Kanpur

    • Please visit the Institute Counselling Service (ICS) webpage


    (https://www.iitk.ac.in/counsel/index.php) for information and updates.

    • Undergraduate students of the Y23 batch are required to report to the


    institute on August 2nd, 2023 (Reporting Day) between 7:00 am and 8:00
    pm.

    • On the 2nd, the boys to report at Hall 13 and girls to Hall 4.

    • Accommodation in the Hall of Residences (hostels) will be allocated to


    students on the reporting day, August 2nd.

    • The Orientation Program and Academic Registration for the Y23 batch is
    scheduled to take place from August 3rd, 2023, to August 9th, 2023.

    • The commencement of regular classes for the Y23 batch is set for August
    10th.

    • Parents or guardians are welcome to accompany the students; however,


    please be advised that we do not provide or arrange accommodation for
    them. A list of nearby hotels can be found here.

    • The Parents' Orientation is scheduled to take place from 2:30-5:30pm on


    August 4th, 2023, at the Main Auditorium of IITK. The event will be
    streamed live in YouTube.
