Following World War I, Art
Deco emerged as a departure
from 19th-century customs
and a fresh beginning.
It had an impact on a
number of us industries,
including fashion, home
design, and visual arts.
Art Deco built a link between the past and the present by
combining traditional workmanship with contemporary
materials.
It continues to be praised for its enduring elegance and
style, which captures the societal and cultural changes of
the early 20th century.
Inspired by the aerodynamic forms and kinetic lines
emerging from the drafting boards of industrial designers, a
"Streamline Moderne" architectural style evolved as one of
the quintessential styles of the 1930s.
