Reflecting on my internship journey at Platinum Real Estate, I am overwhelmed with
gratitude for the invaluable experiences and knowledge I have gained.

Foremost, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Samar for her continuous guidance and
unwavering support. Her mentorship has not only fortified my academic path but
also provided me with a strong foundation for my internship.

Architect Raymond Nassour's guidance has been instrumental in deepening my

understanding of architectural complexities, igniting a passion for precision and
innovation. Project Manager Akram Bou Selwan's insights into effective project

management have broadened my skill set and equipped me with essential tools for
success.

Engineer Elie Bou Assi's patient explanations during site visits have enriched my
practical understanding of real-world challenges and solutions.

Furthermore, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to General Manager Patrick

Asfour for enabling this transformative journey and for his pivotal role in facilitating
my entry into this esteemed company. The exposure to multidisciplinary tasks and

Objectives

My internship experience at Platinum has been a transformative journey, rich in both its
objectives and benefits. The primary aim of this internship was to provide me with a
comprehensive understanding of the construction process, and I can confidently say
that this objective has been exceeded. I've had the privilege of witnessing every facet of
construction, from the initial project planning and design to the meticulous execution
on-site. This hands-on exposure has deepened my appreciation for the practical
application of architectural concepts.

Furthermore, this internship has honed my problem-solving skills as I encountered real-

world challenges and had to devise effective solutions. I've learned the art of
adaptability, vital in architecture, as no project progresses without unexpected twists
and turns. Dealing with these situations has equipped me with a level of resilience and
resourcefulness that will prove invaluable in my future career.

One of the most significant benefits of this internship has been my immersion in the
world of construction tools and materials. I've gained insight into the selection, usage,
and importance of various construction materials and tools, understanding how each
element contributes to the project's success.

Above all, this internship has underscored the interconnectedness of every step in the
construction process. I've learned that attention to detail is paramount, as even the
smallest decisions can ripple throughout the project, affecting its quality and efficiency.
In summary, this internship has not only enriched my theoretical knowledge but has
also provided me with practical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a profound
appreciation for the intricacies of construction. It has been an invaluable chapter in my
journey as an architecture student.

The project:

The internship project involved the development of a residential complex featuring

160 villas in Dayshounieh. Each villa was divided into two blocks, denoted as 'X' and
'Y.' The complex was designed to provide residents with a range of amenities,
minimizing the need to leave the premises for daily activities. Notable facilities
included three swimming pools, a fully-equipped gym, a pharmacy, and multiple
markets to cater to various needs. The villas were offered in three sizes: 125 square
meters, 155 square meters, and 185 square meters, allowing for diverse housing
options. This project aimed to create a self-contained community that promotes a
balanced lifestyle and fosters a sense of unity among its residents.

Process of constructing:

1-site survey (Study of the site (site suitability, soil conditions is this site compatible for this project?)
2-design(architect):Creates initial design plans. Incorporating client’s demands and needs

3-structural engineering (civil engineer):

Structural engineers design the load-bearing components of the building to ensure it can withstand the
intended loads and stresses.

4-mechanical and electrical engineering: Engineers design the: heating, AC, plumbing and electrical system of
the building
