The researchers aim to design and develop a Fertilizer making machine

And the objectives are
1. To design a Fertilizer making machine with the use of leftover wood and coconut
husk as compost in terms of;
1.1. The conceptual design – it is the conceptualization of the design of our
machine visualizing important parameters and dimension
1.2. Computational design – it is the given computation and formulation
needed to solve parameters such as volume, torque, etc.
1.3. Components and Equipment selection – in this section we’ve already
decided on the type of component that we’ll choose such as shredders,
mixers, inlet and we’ve also considered using stainless steel to avoid
corrosion. (kung may itatanong kung bakit stainless steel) we’ll use
stainless steel because we will use other biodegradable waste such as
rotten fruits or feces
1.4. Bill of material – discusses the cost and estimated budget of the whole
machine including materials.
2. To develop a Fertilizer making machine. Whenever the designing and the
planning phase is done it is time develop.
3. To evaluate the machine in terms of;
3.1. Functionality – how will the machine will function will it work or not?
3.2. Efficiency – The precision of the fertilizers produced in terms of its
nutrients, weight or mass.
3.3. Benefit Cost Analysis
3.4. Production Rate – it is the speed of production in every given cycle of the
machine
4. To test the quality of compost produced by the fertilizer machine in terms of its
nutrients present wherein we will conduct a laboratory testing for the nutrients
present in the fertilizer with nutrients such as Carbon-to-Oxygen Ratio,
Phosphorus, Manganese, Iron, Copper, Zinc, Nitrogen, Calcium, Potassium and
lime
DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT PROCEDURE
 Conceptualization – it is the brainstorming of ideas, functionality, design and
appearance, creating basic sketches and drafts on how the machine will look
like.
 Design – is the planning of the physical structure of the machine by visualizing
the shape and size, dimension and even orientation whether it’ll be horizontal or
vertical.
 Development – is the fabrication and assembly of the machine.
 Testing – is the testing of the machine through 5 trials and running the fertilizer
through a laboratory test.
 Observation – is the collection of data with the use of the observational checklist
 Evaluation – evaluating the impact of fertilizer and the machine in the
environment.
 Implementation –
 Maintenance -

Expected output

And finally, this is our expected output with an estimation of a 3.5 tall, 2 ft wide
and 2 ft long machine where we’ve taken into consideration the average height of
Filipinos being 5’6 with two other inlets up top with one inlet inserts wood and husk and
the other inserts biodegradable waste such as rotten fruits. And a double sided ten hook
shredder to produce wood chips and dusts thrown into a mixer with the bio waste and
producing a fertilizer mixed with wood waste and bio wastes to a sliding tray.
