PROS AND CONS OF STUDYING ABROAD

In this era of globalisation, having the opportunity to study abroad is a very good
chance for us to grab. It is what we call a once in a lifetime experience that we should
take full advantage of. However, there are many things we need to think about first
before studying abroad. I have considered to pursue my study abroad, therefore, there
are some advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad that we need to know.

Firstly, the advantage of studying abroad is we can have the opportunity to improve
our language skills. Developing our language skills can have a positive impact on our
career, as well. By doing this, we’ll be able to communicate with people in our new
home, connect with them or hopefully blend in more. Also, speaking another language
no matter which one is yet another useful skill. After that, we can learn how to be
independence by being far away from our family as we are studying abroad. Hence,
we can experience something new. Travelling is a ton of fun, and this is a very good
chance to do it while furthering our education.

Next, the possible disadvantages are likely to be is we surely will feel homesick. No
matter how far we go, we’ll probably will feel homesick and that is perfectly normal.
Therefore, we can use many ways to connect with them such as using Facetime,
Skype or Instagram. After that, one of the main concerns we hear about study abroad
is how much it costs but we can overcome it by ask about scholarships or other form
that can reduce the costs. Despite all of this, the ultimate goal is to come away happy
and satisfied.
