Course Description: Selection, Production, and Utilization of Appropriate
Technology Tools for Instruction
Credit: 3 units

Course Description:
This is a (3)-unit course designed to introduce both traditional and
innovative technologies to facilitate and foster meaningful and effective learning.
Students are expected to demonstrate a sound understanding of the nature,
application and production of the various types of educational technologies. The
course will likewise focus both on developing teacher support materials and the
production of technology-based student outputs.

Course Outline:
1. Learning with traditional technology.
2. Evolution & development of ICT in education.
3. The instructional role and functions of computer.
4. Understanding the nature of instructional software.
5. The internet as an instructional tool.
6. Familiarization of the various types of Alternative Delivery Systems.
7. Design and development of educational multimedia applications.
8. Guidelines in the selection and effective utilization of educational technology
tools and resources.
9. Evaluation of ICT-based instructional resources.
