Single Action Hydraulic Attachment Circuit

The single action hydraulic attachment circuit is for attachments that require one-way
flow. A hydraulic hammer is a good example. The following components are the main
components of the single action hydraulic attachment circuit:

To activate the single action hydraulic attachment circuit, push double switch (2) to the
left. When switch (1) is pressed to the right, the hammer is changed to high speed.
When switch (1) is pressed to the right again, the hammer is changed to low speed.

Only the fourth pedal (3) allows modulation of the implement speed. To cause the
implement to move faster, push down on the pedal more.

The hammer attachment activates by pushing double switch (2) to the left. Solenoid
valve (6) of auxiliary manifold (7) opens. Pilot oil from pilot oil manifold (9) flows
through auxiliary manifold (7) to the top of the attachment control valve.

The fourth pedal modulates the pressure signal which is sent to the top of the
attachment control valve. Shuttle valve (5) takes in pilot oil from the double switch or
the fourth pedal. Shuttle valve (5) sends the highest pilot oil pressure to the top of the
attachment control valve.

The logic valve is located under the main control valve. The logic valve is a series of
resolver valves. Pilot pressure from both sides of the boom, bucket, swing, and stick
control valves enters the logic valve. The resolver valves direct the highest pilot
pressure from each of the implement circuits to the top and the bottom of the
attachment control valve. The pilot pressure signals at the top and the bottom of the
control valve move the attachment spool assembly to the neutral position. The logic
valve prevents operation of the attachment when another implement is activated.

(8) Main control valve. (10) Supply line to attachment. (11) Return line from attachment. (12) Relief

Pilot oil pressure moves the attachment valve stem which sends pump oil through line
(10) . Oil returns from the attachment through line (11) .

The oil pressure for the attachment is controlled by relief valve (12) . The pressure
setting for the relief valve is 18400 kPa (2670 psi) .

Note: The pressure setting for the relief valve must be reset to the specification of the
supplier for the attachment that is being used.
