IV. My Learnings (Answer the following questions comprehensively to describe your learnings from the attended session.
You may include data or pieces of literature to explain your claims.)
1. What are the key principles that you have learned from the topics discussed?
• The current generation of youth is expected to keep up with the teachers, just as the teachers are
expected to adjust their teaching methods to the times. The concept of a "smart campus" is
considered to be a modern approach to education. With the smart campus, students can easily
access lesson outlines and other course materials at any time and from anywhere. This is
particularly beneficial for students who lack adequate internet access or do not have access to the
necessary technology at home. Overall, the smart campus is a great solution to ensure equal access
to education for all students.
2. How do you think these courses/topics help you in your academic journey as a professional
or future school head?
• As a teacher, it is important to possess the characteristic of being flexible and knowledgeable about
the use of technology. In the modern era, technology has become a major aid in making teaching
interactive and effective. However, it is also essential to use tangible learning materials to create an
interactive learning environment. For instance, children tend to show more interest in literature
when teachers use online resources such as technology, animation, and other online tools. This
helps to keep them engaged and prevents them from getting bored.
3. What action will I take to apply these learnings?
• As pre-teaching time approaches, it's important that we prepare to teach interactively. One way to
achieve this is by being knowledgeable about online resources, finding tools to make teaching
engaging, and seeking tips to keep the class interesting. Making these efforts can help ensure that
your students remember you as a creative teacher. Observing and thinking about our class can also
be a powerful tool, especially since many of our classmates are also using technology in their
teaching.
4. Cite instances where the topics had been applied in your current station.
• Most of my professors still rely on traditional teaching methods, including during exams. However,
some are embracing technology, using Google apps for teaching and quizzes. When our classes
are in person, I prefer the traditional approach because it allows for more student-teacher
interaction and a greater sense of being a student. In modern education, the use of technology is
convenient as long as all students have access to the internet. For example, during online exams,
using technology enables you to see your score immediately, whereas with traditional paper and
pen, you need to wait for the results.
