‫اهلون قالوا َسَل ًما‪٦٣‬‬ ‫ض هونا و ِإذا خاطبهم الج ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ر‬‫اْل ْ‬ ‫و ِعباد الرحم ِن ال ِذين يمشون عَل‬
‫ً‬ ‫َ َّ َ ُ َ‬
‫ين َي ِبيتون ِل َر ِّب ِه ْم ُس َّجدا َو ِق َي ًاما‪٦٤‬‬‫وال ِذ‬
‫ى َ َ‬ ‫َّ َ‬ ‫َّ‬ ‫ف َع َّنا َع َذ َ‬ ‫َ َّ َ َ ُ ُ َ َ َّ َ ْ‬
‫اب َج َهن َم ۖ ِإن َعذ َاب َها كان غ َر ًاما‪٦٥‬‬ ‫اْص ْ‬
‫وال ِذين يقولون ربنا ِ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َّ‬
‫ِإن َها َس َاءت ُم ْستق ًّرا َو ُمق ًاما‪٦٦‬‬
‫َ َّ َ َ ى َ ُ ى ْ ُ ْ ُ َ ى ْ َ ْ ُ ُ َ ى َ َ ْ َن َ َ َ‬
‫ي ذ َٰ ِلك ق َو ًاما‪٦٧‬‬ ‫ْسفوا ولم يقتوا وكان ب‬ ‫وال ِذين ِإذا أنفقوا لم ي ِ‬
‫َ َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ ُ َ‬ ‫َ َّ َ َ َ ْ ُ َ َ َ َّ َ َٰ ً َ َ َ َ َ ْ ُ ُ َ َّ ْ َ َّ ُ َ َّ َ َّ ُ َّ ْ‬
‫اَّلل ِإَل ِبال َح ِّق َوَل َي ْزنون ۚ َو َمن َيف َع ْل ذ َٰ ِلك‬ ‫اَّلل ِإل ها آخر وَل يقتلون النفس ال ِ ِت حرم‬ ‫وال ِذ ىين َل يدعون مع ِ‬
‫ْ َ‬
‫َيل َق أث ًاما‪٦٨‬‬
‫ً‬ ‫ُ َ َ ْ ىُ َْ َ ُ َْ َ ْ َ ََ ْ ُْ‬
‫يه ُم َهانا‪٦٩‬‬ ‫يضاعف له العذاب يوم ال ِق َيام ِة ويخلد ِف ِ‬
‫اَّلل َغ ُف ً‬
‫ورا َّرح ً‬ ‫َى َ‬
‫ان َّ ُ‬ ‫َّ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ا َ ً َ ُ َ َ ُ ِّ ُ َّ ُ َ ِّ َ ْ َ َ َ‬
‫يما‪٧٠‬‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ات ۗ وك‬ ‫ِإَل من تاب وآمن وع ِمل عمَل ص ِالحا فأول َٰ ِئك ي َبدل اَّلل سيئ ِات ِهم حسن ٍ‬
‫َ َ َ َ َ َ َ َ ً َ َّ ُ َ ُ ُ ى َّ َ‬
‫اَّلل َمت ًابا‪٧١‬‬ ‫ومن تاب وع ِمل ص ِالحا ف ِإنه يتوب ِإَل ِ‬
‫َّ ْ‬ ‫َ َّ َ َ َ ْ َ ُ َ ُّ َ َ‬
‫ور َو ِإذا َم ُّروا ِباللغ ِو َم ُّروا ِك َر ًاما‪٧٢‬‬ ‫وال ِذين َل يشهدون الز‬
‫ً‬ ‫ى‬ ‫ى‬ ‫َ َّ َ َ ُ ِّ‬
‫ات َرِّب ِه ْم ل ْم َي ِخ ُّروا َعل ْي َها ُص ًّما َو ُع ْم َيانا‪٧٣‬‬ ‫َ‬
‫وال ِذين ِإذا ذك ُروا ِبآي ِ‬
‫ي ِإ َم ًاما‪٧٤‬‬‫ي َو ْاج َع ْل َنا ل ْل ُم َّتق نَ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ب ىل َنا م ْن ىأ ْز َواج َنا َو ُذ ِّرَّيات َنا ُق َّر َة ىأ ْع ُ‬ ‫َ َّ َ َ ُ ُ َ‬
‫ون َرَّب َنا َه ْ‬ ‫وال ِذين يقول‬
‫ِ ِ‬ ‫ٍ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
‫َ‬ ‫َ ا‬ ‫ى َّ َ‬ ‫َ ُْ ََ‬ ‫ُ َ َ‬
‫أول َٰ ِئك ُي ْج َز ْون الغ ْرفة ِب َما َص ََ ُتوا َو ُيلق ْون ِف َيها ت ِح َّية َو َسَل ًما‪٧٥‬‬
‫َ‬ ‫ََ‬ ‫َ ْ‬ ‫َخالد َ‬
‫ين ِف َيها ۚ َح ُسنت ُم ْستق ًّرا َو ُمق ًاما‪٧٦‬‬ ‫ِ ِ‬
‫ُ ْ َ َ ْ َ ُ ْ َ ِّ ى ْ َ ُ َ ُ ُ ْ َ َ ْ ى َّ ْ ُ ْ َ َ ْ َ ُ ُ‬ ‫ُ‬
‫ف َيكون ِل َز ًاما‪٧٧‬‬ ‫قل ما يعبأ ِبكم ر َ ِب لوَل دعاؤكم ۖ فقد كذبتم فسو‬
‫‪And those who do not bear witness to falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk,‬‬
‫‪they pass by it with dignity‬‬
‫)‪(72‬‬
‫‪And those who, when they are reminded of the Ayat of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat‬‬
‫)‪(73‬‬
‫‪And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring the comfort of our‬‬
‫‪eyes, and make us leaders of those who have Taqwa.‬‬
‫)‪(74‬‬
63) “And the servants of ((Allah)) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility,
and when the ignorant address them, they say, “Peace!”;”
1) The faithful slaves (ibaad-ur-rehman) walk on the earth with modesty, i.e they do not walk
with pride.
Explanation: They humbly walk where ever it is they have to go. Along the way they never have
the intention of showing off their ego or making issues about their self esteem. They don’t
show off. They simply go about virtuously. Their walk is pleasant. Their body posture does not
indicate that they want importance or they have some sort of a status. Not being humble
would mean restrain from shaking hands with other men. Or keeping a distance from
everyone. They give a signal, their body does to let others know that they must keep away from
him.

The obedient slaves don’t have an attitude. Their entire personality must be humble from head
to toe. They do not walk haughtily and arrogantly. They are not rude to others they pass along
in their path.
Walking humbly does not mean walking lazily, slow or weakly as if a sick person. It means
having dignity but not stuffing it in everyone’s face to show that they are some sort of an
important personality.

64.who spend the night prostrating themselves before their Lord and standing;81
81. That is, they neither spend their nights in fun and merry making nor in gossips and telling
tales, nor in doing wicked deeds, for these are the ways of the ignorant people. The true servants
of Allah pass their nights in worshipping and remembering Him as much as they can.

65. And those who say, “Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment
is ever adhering;

66) “Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in”;

4) The obedient slaves of Allah Almighty pray that He saves them from the doom, the punishment of hell.

Explanation: Off course who wants to end up in hell. The people who obey God also pray that He does not throw
them into hell. They fear the fierce fire and the other punishments of hell so they wish to stay away from it as fas as
possible in the Day of Judgement.

67) “Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance)
between those (extremes);”
5) The true Muslims spend their wealth carefully and do not waste their money by spending on unnecessary things.
They spend reasonably according to the command of God.

Explanation: They spend in God’s name. Give whatever is due to everyone. Spend on whom God has commanded.
They do not abide in luxury and do not use the power of wealth for themselves. He spends on others. Does not
always think of himself. In other words he isn’t selfish and extravagant.

(And those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor stingy...) They are not
extravagant, spending more than they need, nor are they miserly towards their families, not
spending enough on their needs. But they follow the best and fairest way. The best of matters
are those which are moderate, neither one extreme nor the other.

68) “Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred
except for just cause, nor commit fornication; – and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.”

6) Those who cry to Allah and do not call upon any other except from Him.

Explanation: Simply means no shirk. They do not associate anyone with God. Nor do they pray to anyone else but
Him nor ask any other personality for anything. They ask God for His help and nobody else.

7) They do not kill anyone except on the divine order.

Explanation: Means that the killings Allah has allowed. They follow His command and if something is in their benefit
but God has forbidden it, they have the will power to let that go for the sake of God because He said so.

Like the incident that occurred with Hazrat Ali and the Jew he defeated. He was on top of the Jew and in return the
Jew spit on his face. Ali immediately got off him. The Jew surprised at this and exclaimed,” You were about to kill
me, why’d you stop now?”. Ali replied: “Before I was doing it for the sake of God but after you spit on me I became
furious and thus if I had killed you at that moment it would’ve been because of my ego. I wouldn’t have done it for
God then. ”

Unlawful killings include abortions (without any medical proof). Fear of providing sustenance to your own child and
then killing it before or after it’s born is an unlawful killing.

There are some more unlawful killings mentioned in the Quran in other surahs.

8) They do not commit adultery.

Explanation: These men do not impregnate a womb that is not lawful for them. Simply means no fornication.

25:69) his torment shall be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, 85 and he will abide in it
in ignominy -

85. This can have two meanings: (1) His punishment will never come to an end, but it will continue
being inflicted relentlessly over and over again. (2) the person who in addition to the sins of
disbelief, shirk and atheism, would have committed murders, adultery and other sins, will get
separate punishment for rebellion and for each other sin. He will be accountable for each of his
major and minor sins none of which will be pardoned. For instance, for each murder and for each
act of adultery he will be given a separate punishment, and likewise, there will be a separate
punishment for every sin committed by him
70) “Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such
persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”.

9) They ask for God’s repentance if they have done something wrong.

(25:71) Whosoever repents87 and does good, he returns to Allah in the manner that he should.88
87. It has two meanings: (1) When he has repented sincerely, he will start a new life of belief and
obedience to Allah and by His grace and help will start doing good deeds instead of evil deeds
that he used to do in his life of unbelief, and his evil deeds will be replaced by good deeds. (2)
Not only will his evil deeds done in the past be written off, but it will also be recorded in his
conduct register that he was the servant who gave up rebellion against his Lord and adopted the
way of His obedience. Then, as he will feel more and more sorry for his past sins and offer
repentance, more and more good deeds will be credited to him. For repenting of one’s wrong
doing and seeking forgiveness is in itself a good deed. Thus, good deeds will supersede all his evil
deeds in his conduct register, and he will not only escape punishment in the Hereafter but, in
addition, he will also be blessed with high favors by Allah.
88. That is, ultimately everyone has to return to Allah for Allah alone is man’s last and real refuge.
He alone can reward him for his good deeds or punish him for his evil deeds. He alone is All-
Merciful and All Compassionate, Who receives the penitent with forgiveness and Who does not
rebuke him for his past errors provided that he has repented sincerely, and adopted the right
attitude and reformed himself.

72.(And those who do not bear witness to falsehood,) refers to giving false
testimony, which means lying deliberately to someone else. (and if they pass
by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity.) They do not attend
where falsehood occurs, and if it so happens that they pass by it, they do not
let it contaminate them in the slightest.

73.And those who, when they are reminded of the Ayat of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind

thereat.) This is also a characteristic of the believers,

(Those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Ayat are recited

unto them, they increase their faith; and they put their trust in their Lord.) (8:2) Unlike the

disbelievers. When they hear the Words of Allah, they are not affected by them or moved to
change their ways. They persist in their disbelief, wrongdoing, ignorance and misguidance, as

Allah says:

(fall not deaf and blind thereat.) means, unlike the disbelievers who, when they hear the Ayat of
Allah, are not moved by them, but continue as they are, as if they did not hear them but are deaf
and blind. His saying:

74) And those who pray, “Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our
eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous.”

12) The last quality is that they ask God to keep themselves and their children on the right path. They ask Him for
the divine guidance.

Explanation: They ask God to not let them go astray or their children.

(And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our
offspring the comfort of our eyes...") means those who ask Allah to bring
forth from their loins offspring who will obey Him and worship Him and not
associate anything in worship with Him.

Those will be rewarded with the highest place because of their patience. Therein they shall be
met with greetings and the word of peace and respect
(75)
Abiding therein – excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to rest in

(76)
Say: "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have
indeed denied. So the torment will be yours forever.
(77)

75.After mentioning the beautiful attributes of His believing servants, and their fine words and

deeds, Allah then says

(Those) meaning, the people who are described in this manner,

(will be rewarded) on the Day of Resurrection,


(with the highest place), which is Paradise. Abu Ja'far Al-Baqir, Sa'id bin Jubayr, Ad-Dahhak and

As-Suddi said, "It was so called because of its elevation."

(because of their patience.) means, their patience in doing what they did.

(Therein they shall be met) means, in Paradise.

(with greetings and the word of peace and respect.) This means that they will be greeted first

with words of welcome and honor. Peace will be theirs and they will be wished peace. And

angels shall enter unto them from every gate, saying, "Peace be upon you for that you

persevered in patience! Excellent indeed is the final home!"

76.Abiding therein) means, they will settle there and never leave or move or die, they will never
exit or wish to move to somewhere else. This is like the Ayah,

(excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to rest in.) Its appearance is beautiful and it is a good
place in which to rest and to dwell

(25:77) Say to them (O Muhammad): "My Lord would not care for you were it not for your
prayer96. But now that you have given the lie to (the Message of Allah), an inextricable
punishment shall soon come upon you."
96. This warning to the disbelievers has been given in order to contrast it with the great rewards
that have been promised to the true servants of Allah, as if to say: If you do not invoke Allah for
help and protection, and do not worship Him, you will have no value and importance in His sight,
and He will not care at all for you because He does not stand in need of any help from you. It is
indeed for your own sake that He has given you the opportunity to invoke Him so that He may
turn in mercy towards you; otherwise there is no difference between you and the rest of creation.
