ACTIVITY 1: THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD

Name: ______________________________________________ Section: __________________________

Group No.:___________________________________________ Date: _____________________________
Objective: The learners will be able to solve problems scientifically using the scientific method.
BIG IDEA: The scientific method is a nonlinear process used to acquire knowledge and solve problems. It is a systematic and logical
approach to solve problems or understand different phenomena.
Procedure:
1. Prepare four solutions on a beaker with A, B, C and D label.
2. Place five drops of each solution in a ceramic square using a dropper.
3. Put 1 special paper strip on each solution in the ceramic square. Then, observe.
4. Based on your observations, write at least three (3) questions.
5. As a group, write possible answers to your questions. Then plan a procedure to answer your questions.
OBSERVATIONS QUESTIONS POSSIBLE ANSWER PROCEDURE

Process Question:
How will you relate your activity in the process of scientific method?
