Sangathan Se Samridhhi Campaign

• Ministry of Rural Development's Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural

Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) launched a national campaign called
“Sangathan Se Samridhhi– Leaving no Rural Woman Behind”, aiming to mobilize
a significant number of women into Self Help Groups (SHGs).
• The campaign is a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Samaveshi Vikaas and
aims to mobilize 10 crore women from eligible rural households into SHGs.
• It aims to mobilize disadvantaged rural communities who are unaware of the
benefits of the DAY-NRLM program.

Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission

• It is a Centrally Sponsored Programme, launched by the Ministry of Rural

Development in 2011.
• It aims to eliminate rural poverty through the promotion of multiple
livelihoods and improved access to financial services for the rural poor
households across the country.
• Functioning:
• It involves working with community institutions through community
professionals in the spirit of self-help which is a unique proposition of
DAY-NRLM.

Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Project

• The project is also known as Jagdishpur – Haldia & Bokaro – Dhamra Pipeline
Project (JHBDPL) project.
• Ministry: Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas
• It was launched in 2016 and will cater to the energy requirements of five
states namely Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.
• It was Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
• Total length of pipeline under Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Project is 3,384
km, out of which 766 km of pipeline is in Odisha state and the balance 2,618 km
is in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Assam.
• The seven main station cities include Varanasi, Patna, Bokaro, Jamshedpur,
Kolkata, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack as the major beneficiaries of the
project.
• The project is being implemented by GAIL.
• Recently, Prime Minister praised the completion of Bihar portion of Barauni-
Guwahati pipeline under Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Project.

Vibrant Villages Programme

• The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, has approved Centrally

Sponsored Scheme- “Vibrant Villages Programme” (VVP) for the Financial Years
2022-23 to 2025-26 with financial allocation of Rs. 4800 Crore.
• The Union Home Minister Amit Shah to launch the 'Vibrant Villages Programme
• Comprehensive development of villages of blocks on northern border thus
improving the quality of life of people living in identified border villages.
• This will help in encouraging people to stay in their native locations in border
areas and reversing the outmigration from these villages adding to improved
security of the border.
• The scheme will provide funds for development of essential infrastructure and
creation of livelihood opportunities in 19 Districts and 46 Border blocks 4 states
and 1 UT along the northern land border of the country which will help in
achieving inclusive growth and retaining the populatiion in the border areas.
• In the first phase 663 Villages will be taken up in the programme.
• It will cover the border areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal
Pradesh, Sikkim and Ladakh.
• Development of growth centres on ‘hub and spoke model’ through promotion of
social entrepreneurship, empowerment of youth and women through skill
development and entrepreneurship;
• Under the VVP scheme, Vibrant Village Action Plans will be created by the
district adminstration with the help of Gram Panchayats.
• 100 % saturation of Central and state schemes will be ensured.
• Key outcomes that have been attempted are, connectivity with all weather road,
drinking water, 24x7 electricty – Solar and wind energy to be given focuseed
attention, mobile and internet connectivity. Tourist centers, multi-purpose
centers and health and wellness Centers.
• Out of financial allocation of Rs. 4800 Crore, 2500 crore rupees will be used for
roads

PTP NER SCHEME

• Arjun Munda, the Minister of Tribal Affairs, launch the Marketing and Logistics
Development for Promotion of Tribal Products from North-Eastern Region (PTP-
NER) scheme in Manipur. This scheme has been designed to benefit the
Scheduled Tribes residing in the North-Eastern Region by enhancing
procurement, logistics, and marketing efficiency of tribal products.
• The PTP-NER scheme will be implemented in 8 states in the North-Eastern
Region i.e., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram,
Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim
• As part of the PTP-NER scheme, the government plans to organize 68 Tribal

NATIONAL QUANTUM MISSION

• The mission aims to make India a leading nation in the quantum technology
sector and promote economic growth.
• The total cost of the mission is over six thousand crore rupees.
• The mission will run from 2023-24 to 2030-31.
• Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the
mission will give India a quantum jump in the world arena.
• Currently, six countries including the USA, Canada, and France have quantum
technology.
• The National Quantum Mission has set several key objectives to drive
advancements in quantum technologies. One of the main goals of this mission is
to achieve long-distance quantum communication across a 2000 km gap, either
using satellites or fibers.

JAL JEEVAN MISSION

• The Jal Jeevan Mission, launched in 2019 under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, aims to
ensure the provision of safe drinking water to every rural household in India by
2024 through individual household tap connections.
• The Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) aims to ensure that every rural household is
equipped with Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), enabling access
to 55 liters of water per person per day.
• Himalayan states (Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh) and North-Eastern states:
The ratio of funds shared between the Center and the State is 90:10. This means
that the central government contributes 90% of the funds, while the state
government contributes 10% of the funds.
• Union Territories (UTs): For UTs, the allocation is 100:0. This means that the
central government provides 100% of the funds, and the UTs do not have to
contribute any funds.
• Rest of the states: The ratio of funds shared between the Center and the states is
50:50. This means that both the central government and the state government
contribute an equal share of funds, each providing 50% of the required funds.

Gunvatta Sankalp

• The Government of Uttar Pradesh and Quality Council of India, in collaboration

with industry associations - ASSOCHAM, FICCI, IIA and PHDCCI - launched the
Uttar Pradesh Gunvatta Sankalp (Uttar Pradesh Quality Mission) at Lucknow.
• UP is the first state that has chosen to launch the Gunvatta Sankalp

partnership with a State, focuses on four key pillars - quality as a driver of the
USD 1 trillion economy, MSMEs, healthcare services and education and
vocational training.

National Ambient Air Quality Programme

• Quality Programme (NAMP) for monitoring of ambient air quality in towns and
cities.
• Presently 1340 Monitoring Stations have been set up for monitoring ambient air
quality in 489 citiesand towns of the country.
• Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) launched
National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) in January, 2019 with an aim to improve
air quality in 131 cities (non-attainment cities and Million Plus Cities in 24 States
by engaging all stakeholders.
• The Programme envisages to achieve reductions up to 40% or achievement of
National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Particulate Matter10 (PM 10)
concentrations by 2025-26.
• Under the Programme, Cities are required to take measures to improve air
quality.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

• It was launched on 24th February, 2019 to supplement financial needs of land

holding farmers.
• Financial Benefits:
• Financial benefit of Rs 6000/- per year in three equal installments, every four
month is transferred into the bank accounts of farmers’ families across the
country through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
• It is a Central Sector Scheme with 100% funding from the Government of India.
• It is being implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

PM MITRA Park

• The Centre has selected sites in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra,
Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to set up new textile parks under the
PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) scheme.
• The parks will be set up by 2026-27. The total outlay for the project is Rs 4,445
crore, though the initial allocation in the 2023-24 Budget is only Rs 200 crore.
• Recently, PM Modi congratulated Tamil Nadu for its PM MITRA mega textiles
park under PM MITRA Scheme in the aspirational district of Virudhunagar.

o It also aims to provide the necessary support for the integration of digital health
infrastructure in the country.
