1. This document is to be used by all vessels entering, working or departing an installation or field.
2. Any checks marked ‘No’ shall be discussed with the Installation prior to 500m zone entry.
3. Reference to “Installation” means field, installation or contracted MODU
4. All personnel responsible for 500m zone operations will be familiar with, and work to, the guidance
contained in The NWEA Guidelines for the Safe Management of Offshore Supply and Rig Move
Operations.

A) PRE-ARRIVAL PROCEDURE : MINIMUM 1 HOUR PRIOR TO ARRIVAL Yes No

A.1 Vessel confirms all waypoints used are outside the 500 m safety zone.

B) PRE-ENTRY INTO THE 500 METRE SAFETY ZONE Yes No

The Master & Bridge Officers are fully aware of the procedures for vessel entry.

NOTE: Limit of 45% power utilization on weather side as detailed in NWEA Guidelines.

Masters & Bridge Officers of vessels operating on DP are to comply with the

Whilst within the 500m zone the bridge will be manned with a minimum of two

Main Engines / Thrusters: Fully tested & confirmed to be functional and in satisfactory

operating condition.

Steering Gear: Function tested (main and emergency) and confirmed to be fully

operational.
