Reporting: Administratively to Unit Head & functionally to Head EHS-CTT Qualification & Experience: a) Post-graduation diploma in Industrial Safety or Equivalent qualification recognised by Director of Factories, Uttar Pradesh. b) Degree/ Diploma in Engineering with minimum 8-10 years of experience or Science Graduate with 12 years of experience Job Description: 1. Implementation of Corporate Safety Standards & Procedures 2. Facilitate, Support, and coordinate for all the safety related trainings according to business need and corporate guidelines. 3. Special Drives to encourage people for more participation in training and educational program. 4. Facilitate/ coordinate site management for Safety Behavior Observations, reporting of Unsafe Act/Unsafe condition/Near miss cases etc. 5. Facilitate, Support, and encourage different motivational programs to increase safety awareness to all level of employees. 6. Facilitate/ Support unit management to implement Permit to Work Process. 7. Facilitate/ support unit Management for legal compliance with related to Environment, Health & Safety aspects (from different Acts & Rules). 8. Monitoring and auditing of safety management program / compliance, regular inspection at sites. checking of PTW quality, Checklists etc. 9. Conducting Safety Meetings/ Mock Drills according to unit as well as corporate guidelines and preparing MoM accordingly. Follow up for compliance of MoM. 10. Facilitate, Support & Coordinate with line management to implement Best practices for eliminating immediate hazards and unsafe practices/conditions. 11. Compilation/Analysis of the different safety KPI of Unit / Group and suggested unit management for compliance the gap identified during analysis. 12. Support/ Facilitate unit management to implement different recommendations of Incident released by Unit and corporate team. 13. Review and evaluate past performance and internal customer feed back to formulate the safety goal for coming year. 14. Investigate all Serious Incidents/ Accidents along-with line team to identify root- cause and suggest remedial measures to the management. 15. Prepare annual report of overall Safety Performance of the Unit. 16. Identification of high-risk operations/activities/processes along with line team of plant. Selection of appropriate tools and techniques to address the risk. Employee training for the use of selected tools and techniques. Constitute a team for specific operations/process facilitate to trained employees about use of tools and techniques and evaluation for its effectiveness. Evaluation of risk through risk analysis - Tools and techniques using J.S.A. (Job Safety Analysis) HAZOP Study (Hazard & Operability study) etc. 17. Verification of accidents through accident register from First aid and by direct communication from plant. Constitute investigation team from different discipline (i.e., Operation, Mech., Elect., Inst. & Safety) Identifying the root cause of accident through why why/fault tree analysis. Discussion and recommendation for Engineering control, Preparation of report and circulation to officer concerned. Follow up for recommended control measures and review with plant head. 18. Identifying the existing emergencies in coordination with concerned department incharge. Developing emergency plan and procedure for Employees training on emergency preparedness. To ensure availability of necessary emergency equipment. Conducting Mock Drill (Known/Unknown) to find out gaps. Develop action plan to mitigate the gaps after discussion with officer concerned. Follow up for implementation of action plan to overcome short comings. Inspection/checking of emergency equipment from time to time to ensure its functioning. Review and up-dating of emergency plan considering new hazards.
