Lj Dalisay, a 16 year old TVL student in Tagbitan-ag National

High School and a high jumper who is one of the athletes who represent
samal Isalnd as Samal Waves on DAVRAA meet 2023 held at Tagum
Sports Complex.

Lj lives on ene site in Barangay Licup. He was the ninth born

among his ten siblings. They are raised by their father since their mother
just passed away and gladly their father Mr. Lolito Dalisay Jr. Still
manage them through selling on a sari-sari store despite of the
difficulties they face everyday. Mr. Lolito jumped for joy as Lj was
announce as one of the qualified athletes as one of the qualified athletes
for DAVRAA.

As a first timer, Lj could not avoid the awkwardness. He thought

that it might be hard for him to fit in, that he is going to end up
friendless but as the day goes by he was being dose to his co-athletes.
They enjoyed the limited time of being together. Lj ends up being
attached to the people that once become his family.

“ I did not expect to make it this far because first of all I am not
sporty. But at the same time I feel so proud of myself since I get the
chance to represent my school through my athletic excellence ” says Lj.
He feel so blessed, fortunate and proud, it has been a incredible
experience for him. He gladly met amiable people who once become his
home.

That experience ruled a big part of his life. It was not only an
experience for him but a photo that will flash forever in his heart, for
once he forgot his personal problems. It has been a great memory for he
made a great memory wih the best people.
