“Story of My Life’’

The Story of My Life interesting enough, my life began on Saturday morning on

November 04, 1997 in Dapa, Punta Kawit 2, where I was delivered to my mother, Esmaelita
Espiel and father Julito Tesado. I was the third child in the family. I know life will be rough yet
challenging.

As I grew up, my life changed at each milestone in a person life. I had a rough and very
fun childhood. I remember playing outside with family and some of my friends, riding a bike
rain or shine, eating together around the dinner table which is best moment of all. Until I was 15
years old. My life was filled with more great memories than the bad, even though lived in
poverty stricken neighborhood. My parents never once, made it seem that way because they
made sure we were fed, bathe, and had clean clothes and shoes on our feet. Perhaps I don't even
matter if I'm not rich as long as we are complete and can eat three times a day. I know things will
turn ups and downs, because when I'm 18 years old I remember there's a time my father doesn't
able to find job that will suit for his skills because of his Educational Attainment. This is the
main reason why I stopped for two years supposedly I'm 2nd year college that time, but because
of some financial problem it's hard for me to decide if I will proceed to my studies. Because of
what happened to my father I realized that Education is the most important weapon to succeed.
Since, I don’t have any plan I go with my mother in Surigao City temporarily until I could earn
enough money to support my studies. After 1 year I decided to go way back where my heart
dreams. I don’t know how to react when I saw my name in the final list in Tertiary Education
Subsidy or (TES), but in mind I’m so much thankful for this blessing. Finally, I can continue my
studies without worries, because I believed everything happens for a reason.

As of now I am now a third year college taking BS- Criminology in Siargao Island
Institute of Technology. I promised to myself that this given opportunity will be worth it. I want
to help my parents for all the sacrificed and hard works in supporting with my ambitions. I will
assure to them that all those things will be paid off. I know it is not totally easy but I want to
challenge and prove to myself that I can do more and I can be more. I will not let others ruin my
dreams because with God’s grace I will be one of a respected professional in one of the field.
