Dear Sir/ Madam, H

10 Re: Application for the position of summer camp volunteer B

F
I am writing to apply for the position of summer camp volunteer as advertised in the
South China Morning Post on 10th July, 202__.

I am currently a Secondary 3 student at St Margaret’s School. I have been a class

monitor for the past two years. My responsibilities include assisting teachers and
15 helping to maintain discipline in the classroom. As captain of the Swimming Team, I
have led the team successfully in inter-school competitions. I am also a member of
the Outdoors Club.

I believe that I am the perfect candidate for this position because I am used to
working with children. Last summer, I volunteered to teach English to
20 underprivileged children at a youth centre. The students enjoyed my classes because
I was enthusiastic and patient. By the end of the programme, I was told by my
supervisor that the students had learnt a great deal. In addition, I have excellent
skills in English and Putonghua.

I am also fit and active. I attend swimming training twice a week and hike in country
25 parks most weekends. I also enjoy canoeing, camping and many other outdoor
activities. Therefore, I feel that I would be an extremely energetic summer camp
volunteer.

I have enclosed my CV for your reference. I hope you will consider my application
J
and I look forward to the opportunity to attend an interview.

30 Yours faithfully, G
