Ways to reduce air pollution.

A ir pollution has long been one of the most severe forms of environmental damage.
Figures from World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that air pollution kills more than 7
million people worldwide every year. Its data also shows that 9 out of 10 of people breathe
air that exceeds WHO guidelines limits on high levels of pollutants. Until then, it become
worse than we could ever imagine. Therefore, It is agreed that there is a variety way to
reduce air pollution such as imposing strict laws and organising a campaign.

For of all, imposing strict laws by the government can help to reduce air pollution. This is because
people will be more afraid to do the activity that will lead to air pollution such burning garbage and
smoking in public area as the offenders will be punished by the authorities. Moreover, the
punishment imposed is very severe. According to news, offenders who found guilty of polluting the
air will be charged up to five year in prison and a fine. As a result, people are now trying to practice
activities that are more environmentally friendly. In brief, by imposing strict laws, air pollution can
be reduced.

Apart from that, the community or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) can hold campaigns
to reduce air pollution. NGOs can hold campaigns that encourage people to reduce activities that
can pollute the environment, giving them a solution to the problem. For example, they can advise
the community to reduce the using of their own cars. This is because as we know vehicles such as
cars and motorbikes emit smoke that is not good for the environment namely methane and carbon
dioxide. So, instead of using their own car, they can use public transport provided by the
government such as buses, trains and taxis. With this, we are able to reduce the release of vehicle
smoke into the air thus reducing air pollution.

All in all, there are many ways to reduce air pollution and keep the healthy environment.
Imposing strict laws by government is a effective action to control the air pollution around the world.
NGO also have a role as non-governmental by spread the awareness as well as encourage people to
take responsibility and keep environment clean among themselves. If we not give a spotlight about
this issue, there will be more people suffer due to air pollution and increase the risk of heart and
respiratory diseases.
