SUPPORT TO COMPREHENSIVE SEXUALITY EDUCATION AND WASH IN SCHOOLS

PROGRAM: MAINSTREAMING THE OKY PHILIPPINES PERIOD TRACKER IN SCHOOLS

1. Relative to DepEd Memorandum ESSD-2023-313 re: Support to Comprehensive

Sexuality Education and Wash in Schools Program: Mainstreaming the OKY Philippines
Period Tracker in Schools, this Office encourages all schools to download the Oky Period
Tracker App for adolescent learners, Grades 4 to Senior High School or ages 12 – 19 years old,
as an additional information resource on menstruation, adolescent sexual reproductive health,
child protection and mental health, among other learning areas.

3. Schools are enjoined to promote the Oky Philippines App by placing printed materials
about the app in Health Corners or other strategic locations. Infographics introducing the Oky
Philippines app and showing steps for downloading will be disseminated through Deped Tayo
Olongapo City Facebook Page for all schools to promote the app to learners during homeroom,
relevant classes or school events where the topic of menstrual health and hygiene can be
discussed.

4. School Adolescent Reproductive Health Coordinators are requested to submit a soft copy
of their consolidated report on the number of learners who downloaded the application and their
feedbacks.

5. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is earnestly desired.

6. Enclosed is the DepEd Memorandum for reference.
