Vấn đề xả rác bừa bãi

Introduction:
Hello everyone, my name is Tram, and I’m currently studying in class 9A1 at
Victory School. In this video, I’ll talk about the problem of littering in public places.
Condition status:
The phenomenon of littering is always present around us. It can be found
anytime, anywhere, on roads, in residential areas, supermarkets, and amusement
parks; especially in big cities like Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi... and even in my local area.
This situation has become a habit that is difficult to change for a plethora of
Vietnamese people nowadays.
Reasons:
 Lack of environmental protection awareness: Some people are not aware of
the importance of environmental protection and the negative
consequences of littering.
 Community awareness: Part of the cause of littering is a lack of community
awareness. If a person doesn't care about properly disposing of trash or if
there is no supervision, they blatantly litter.
 Lack of management and lenient punishment from the government: An
inadequate infrastructure system to handle waste can also lead to rubbish
being dropped. When there is not enough infrastructure, such as public
landfills or efficient waste transportation, people may have no choice but to
litter.
 Not strict management and: When there are no clear regulations and
effective management systems, people may not be responsible for waste
treatment. The lack of management and strong penalties can also increase
littering.
Harmful Effects:
 Littering not only causes environmental and air pollution but also leads to a
loss of urban aesthetics. Especially, it can easily lead to infectious illnesses,
skin diseases, or respiratory diseases.
 On days of heavy rain, if trash is not disposed of in the right place, it could
cause pipe blockages. This is the main cause of flooding.
 If an area, city, or even a country thinks that littering is normal, this is the
reason why it loses a good impression on tourists. And it can change the
way tourists view the country.
 Climate change: untreated organic waste and unsanitary landfills will emit
large amounts of CO2 gas that is harmful to the environment and humans.
This is also one of the problems led to climate change.
Solutions:
 To raise public awareness: Localities should organize education and
propaganda programs about the importance of maintaining environmental
hygiene, collecting, processing, and managing trash and waste. Deliver clear
messages to the community about the negative impacts of littering and
landfill cleanup on the environment and public health.
 Encourage friends, relatives, and people around you to put trash in the
right place, not to throw trash indiscriminately.
 Build and upgrade the public trash collection system, including trash bins of
sufficient quantity, placed in the right locations, and cleaned periodically. At
the same time, build a recycling collection system to encourage waste
classification.
 Strengthen supervision and impose strict penalties for violations of
regulations on littering and indiscriminate garbage dumping. Besides, carry
out surprise inspections and quickly handle violations to create awareness
and compliance within the community.
 Create proactive and positive interactions with the local community by
establishing local partners, organizing meetings, and forums to hear
opinions and solutions from the community.
Conclusion:
Littering has a negative impact on people's lives, environmental pollution, and is
also one of the causes of global climate change. We must be conscious of
protecting the environment and encourage everyone to join hands in preserving
it.
Littering has a negative impact on people's lives and nature, environmental
pollution, and is also one of the causes of global climate change.
