Micro project proposal

Aim:- IDENTIFY DIFFERENT COMPONENT BY DISMANTLE OF

PMMC OR MI INSTRUMENT AND PREPARE REPORT
Benefits:-
1. Educational Purposes:
 Hands-On Learning: Dismantling and studying the internal components of
these instruments provides practical, hands-on learning experiences for
students or individuals studying electrical and electronic principles.
 Understanding Theory: It helps individuals gain a deeper understanding of
the theoretical concepts behind PMMC and MI instruments by observing how
they are implemented in practice.
 Enhanced Knowledge: It improves knowledge about electromagnetism, coil
movements, and the role of different components in these instruments.
2. Component Identification:
 Identifying Key Components: It allows individuals to identify and recognize
key components such as the coil, magnet, springs, pointer, and damping
mechanisms within these instruments.
 Understanding Functionality: By disassembling and inspecting these
components, one can better understand their specific roles in the instrument's
functionality.
3. Maintenance and Repair:
 Troubleshooting: By understanding the inner workings of PMMC and MI
instruments, technicians and engineers can troubleshoot issues more
effectively when these instruments malfunction.
 Maintenance: It facilitates maintenance and calibration of these instruments,
ensuring their accuracy and longevity.
4. Quality Control and Manufacturing:
 Quality Assurance: Manufacturers can use this process to ensure the quality
and precision of their instruments by inspecting each component's
specifications and assembly.
 Design Improvements: Insights gained from dismantling and analyzing
instruments can lead to design improvements and enhanced product
development.
Course outcomes (co) addressed:-

Proposed methodology:-

. Safety Precautions:

 Before starting, ensure you have the necessary safety equipment such as gloves,
safety glasses, and tools for handling electrical components.
 Disconnect the instrument from any power source to avoid electrical hazards.

2. Tools and Equipment:

 Gather the necessary tools and equipment, including screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters,
a multimeter (for checking electrical connections), a camera (for documentation), and
a notepad for recording observations.

3. Instrument Identification:

 Identify the type and model of the PMMC or MI instrument you are going to
dismantle. Note down any specific characteristics or specifications.

4. Dismantling Process:

 Document the step-by-step process of dismantling the instrument. This may include
removing screws, covers, or any other fasteners.
 Pay close attention to any resistance encountered during the disassembly, and take
care not to damage any components during this process
