ISSUE: Parents should consider home-schooling their children. It is the best way for them to avoid
bad influences at school.

The essay will be an argumentative essay. The issue is; Parents should consider homeschooling
their children. It is the best way for them to avoid bad influences at school. I am against this
statement.

What is home school?

Home school is where students learn in their own homes, this is where they learn out of the traditional
school environment.

Bad influences are not the only issue that parents need to let their children avoid. They as parents
need to instill good qualities in their children so they know what is right and what is wrong. If they
instill good qualities within their children they won’t have to worry about bad influences coming along
with their children.

8 out of 10 students go to the traditional school. Those who are at home are prone to many
disadvantages. These are what they should consider before thinking about allowing their children to
be homeschooled. They include:

1. Lack of physical interaction with other students:

● When children are being homeschooled they aren’t around other children this can cause
them to become antisocial and become nervous or scared to interact with others. This can
become a major problem in their future, especially when it’s time for them to get a job. If they
are quiet and don’t talk, that can put them at a major disadvantage in their occupation,
especially if they have a career that interaction plays a big role in.

2. Not being used to the real world.

● When children are being homeschooled they just get up from bed, do their regular activities in
the morning, sit down then start working. This is not effective in teaching the child time
management. Students that attend traditional school have a time schedule. This includes the
time they get up and the time they leave the house to arrive on time at school. While the
homeschoolers just get up, eat breakfast and walk in their room/ office to start school.

Conclusion

In conclusion I believe that traditional school is the way. Home school may be great in the beginning
but when it’s time for them to branch out in their life’s it may cause life long issues that will affect their
life. If parents are worried about bad influences they instill in their children good qualities so they can
know right from wrong.
