    •GUIDELINES

    I.Tournament Format:
    a. Round Robin
    b. Time Control: 15+5 (15 mins + 5 second increment)
    c. Tiebreaker (in case of a tie score) : Blitz 5+5 playoff (1game with White & Black pieces)
    d. Scoring System: Win=1 Draw=0.5 Loss=0

    II. Rules
    a. No show = forfeit of match
    b. The tournament will follow FIDE rules of chess. LINK:

    c. No cheating of any kind. ( Players can report to the officials any instance of cheating)

    III. Officials: EMC members

    IV. Penalties:
    a. If a player is proven to have cheated, he/she will be deducted 2 points.
    b. Late arrivals will have lesser time since clocks will be started upon the start of each
    round.

    NOTE:
    1. Players can bring their own Chess board and chess clock, since our school's chess
    boards and chess clocks are limited.
    2. Players must bring a ballpen.
    3. Players (if possible) can download a chess clock app to act as back up in case the
