Past Simple Passive

We use passive voice when we want our reader to focus on the action (Verb) or the
action’s target (object) rather than on who or what is performing the action (subject)
Rules of Conversion from Active to Passive Voice:
 Identify the subject, the verb, and the object: S+V+O.
 Change the object into subject.
 The active verb does not have an object. Therefore, the passive form should begin with you.
 Change the verb into the past participle of the verb.
 Change the subject into an object.
Change the following sentences from active voice to passive voice.

1. The dog chased the cat.


2. The dog bit the boy.
3. The peon rang the bell.
4. Ram played hockey.
5. Rehab caught the ball.
6. Children liked sweets.
7. Rita took a photograph.
8. The police arrested the smuggler.
9. They threw the ball.
10. Everyone loved Zara.
