Package Material Specifications Page 1 of 2 Country of Origin No.

L1287

SCOPE
This Material Specification establishes the Ford Customer Service Division country of origin (COO) identification requirements in compliance with United
States regulations.

APPLICATION
All FCSD service part unit containers must display the part’s COO in accordance with the requirements of the PRINT Package Material Specification.
The COO is found on the service part Packaging Specification. If the stated COO is incorrect, please contact the responsible FCSD Buyer.

NOTE: Due to space constraints on the unit container part nomenclature label, a separate label may be required for service kit containers that
include multiple components with varying COO’s. See “COO Marking for Service Kits” below. These labels must be 60-pound litho stock
with pressure-sensitive backing permanent adhesive, sized as necessary to display the multiple COO designations, and can be procured
from any source.

COO STATEMENT REQUIREMENTS

For a non-U.S. COO:
• CONTENTS MADE IN (country)

For a U.S. COO (shown as either US or blank on the service part Packaging Specification):
• MAJORITY CONTENT MADE IN USA

COO MARKING FOR SERVICE KITS

A service kit containing components that are all made in the same country must be labeled as described above.

A service kit containing components from more than one country will require a separate label, in addition to the unit container label, as shown in the examples
on page 2. Space permitting, affix the separate COO label to the same carton panel and just below the unit container part nomenclature label. Otherwise
affix it to an adjacent panel. The kit components must be identified on the COO label with a service part number, or with an engineering part number or part
name if a service part number is not available. NOTE: Kit components within the unit container must be clearly identified with their part numbers or
part names that exactly match the exterior unit container COO label.
