Concentration of Solution
Objective:

Demonstrate the concentration of a solution

Materials Needed:

1. 3 Clear plastic cups or containers labeled diluted, less concentrated and concentrated
2. Water
3. Food coloring (one color)
4. Measuring spoons
5. Stirrers or plastic spoons
6. syringe

Procedure:

1. Prepare the Concentrated Solution:


 Fill one clear plastic cup with water, leaving some space at the top.
 Add 5 drops of food coloring (e.g., red) to the water to the first cup and label
“diluted”.
 to create a less concentrated solution add 10 drops of food coloring for cup 2. Stir it
well to ensure even mixing.
 To create a concentrated solution, add all of the left food coloring in the syringe for
cup 3.
2. Observe and Compare:
 Arrange the cups in a row, from the concentrated (100%) to the diluted.
Q.1. How do you compare the color of each solution?
 Q2.Based on your observation, what is the difference of concentrated and diluted
solution?
