Passive voice

is a sentence in which the subject is subjected to an activity or action. In

Indonesian, passive sentences have certain characteristics, namely that they usually
begin with the prefix 'ter-' or 'di-'. Passive sentences are formed from active
sentences, by making the subject (in the active sentence) the object (in the passive
sentence), and vice versa.

adalah kalimat yang subjeknya dikenai suatu aktivitas atau perbuatan. Di bahasa
Indonesia, kalimat pasif memiliki ciri tertentu yaitu biasanya diawali dengan
awalan ‘ter-‘ atau ‘di-‘. Kalimat pasif dibentuk dari kalimat aktif, dengan
menjadikan subject (dalam kalimat aktif) sebagai object (dalam kalimat pasif),
begitupun sebaliknya.
