Case – Study 1: 36.A contractor has 34 m long iron wire and he wants to cut this wire into
pieces. From one piece he wants to make circular ring and from another piece, a square
shaped frame and wants to minimize the total surface area of circular disk and square
shaped frame. If x m length is used to make circular ring with radius ‘r’ m then answer the
following questions:
