Worksheet 6 – Transferable Skills

In Worksheets 3, 4, and 5 you have considered and identified particular skills


related to Personal, Technical and Course-related.

This worksheet covers skills which you may have or want to develop from outside
the course.

These are called ‘Transferable Skills’ and are highly desired in the Creative
Industries.

TRANSFERABLE SKILLS CHECKLIST

These are skills which you can use on the course which you may have used in
other situations.

These situations might include jobs, sports, hobbies, game playing etc.

Highlight as many of these transferable skills which definitely apply to you:

Next, choose ONE transferable skill from each coloured section which you might
identify as being your strongest (e.g., you might highlight four skills for Leadership,
but which is your strongest?). Identify how you have used each of these chosen
skills AND how this skill might be useful on:

 the Level 3 Creative Media course


 your chosen progression route (Worksheet 2)

If you wish to choose more than one Transferable Skill from each section to focus on
then this is encouraged.

Follow up by identifying at least one highlighted transferable skill from each


coloured section which you feel you can improve upon and how this might benefit
your Level 3 Creative Media course AND your chosen progression route

Finally, identify at least one transferable skill from each section which you have not
highlighted and which you feel you need to have. How might this benefit your Level
3 Creative Media course AND your chosen progression route?

You may well use the results from this worksheet to help you with future tasks on the
unit.

SUBMISSION

Copy and paste the coloured sections once you have highlighted your choices and
write your responses to the follow-up questions on to your Progression page on
Weebly.

It should chronologically follow the work completed for Worksheet 5 Course Skills
Evaluation and Reflection.
