Subject: Non-confirming stone cladding at B01-PED. Building level 01 to level 2

Reference to progressing installation of stone cladding at Pediatrics building (south and north elevations L01-
L02) and during regular inspection – IR # KFSH/PED/ARCH/1292 - the following observation were noted :
(see attached photos)

A- Contractor installed shims with > 15mm thickness To cover the cavity between L - Bracket
and External walls but the manufacture’s recommendation for using shims is up to 15 mm , so
SBG should use Z bracket and remove the L – Bracket and shims.(see attached #A)
And refer to MS #: MS /CN1169P01/001046 REV. 01.
B- Some of stone joints are not equal and exceed than 3mm which is not acceptable as per shop
drawing and DS #: DS/CN1169P01/002362 REV. 02.(see attached #B)

You are hereby instructed to take necessary action to check the ongoing unacceptable instal-
lation in progress and should monitor the subcontractor’s workmanship.
