CONSUMERS / PLOT OWNERS IN NEW HOUSING SCHEMES
Audit Parties during the audit of various Sub-Divisions observed that 25 %

grid sharing cost is not being recovered from the individual applicants in New Housing
Schemes as per assessed load in the light of instructions of the department, which has
been seriously by the Chief Executive Officer LESCO.
You are, therefore, advised to instruct all DMs/AM (O) and concerned staff
under your administrative control to ensure recovery of 25% grid sharing cost from the
individuals applicants at the time of installation of connections according to assessed load
for which necessary instructions have already issued by this office vide No. 57868-86
dated 22-5-2001, 1808-15 dated 10-2-2005 & No. 9077-82 dated 9-6-2005 (copies
enclosed). Separate Registers in this regard may also be got maintained in all the Sub-
Divisions, which should be checked / inspected by the Senior Officers during the
inspection of concerned office. It may also be made clear to all concerned that strict
disciplinary action will be initiated against the concerned officials / officers found
responsible for less recovery of the grid sharing cost.

(i) This policy covers all Housing Schemes irrespective of the area as such any
Housing Scheme not cover under this policy will be considered as illegal.
(ii) Legal protection has been provided for the land required for grid station as per
requirement of WAPDA.
(iii) Legal protection has been given as per Article 29 of the Draft for the work to be
executed in accordance with the law, rules and procedure.
(iv) Sponsors shall also provide soft copy of documents.
(v) There is fee to be deposited for conversion of pro-urban into Housing Scheme.
(vi) It is legislation of Punjab Government and WAPDA rights have been protected
in the Draft and un-approved Housing Schemes have been declared as illegal.
Since action has also been proposed against illegal Schemes as such it is
mandatory for WAPDA to obtain approval of civic authority.

In order to accommodate the instant load, 25% cost sharing of grid station @

As regard the matter of change in location of grid station land, it is
submitted that this change has not affect the already approved design of external
electrification. However the change in design of route of 11 kV feeders will be submitted
in due course of time alongwith approval of left over area of the Housing Scheme for

Rahbar grid station with the following terms and conditions:

2. The detail of work to be executed by DM (O) /AM (O) concerned before allowing
individual connections is as under:

cable will be installed (over head).
(ii) Already existing Capacitors at 11 kV Canal Road feeder will be relocated
