 if แปลว่า ถ้า
 clasue แปลว่า อนุประโยค
 อนุประโยค คือ ประโยคที่ไม่สมบูรณ์

ดังนั้น if clause คือ อนุประโยค ถ้า…..

 conditional แปลว่า เงื่อนไข
 sentences แปลว่า ประโยค

โครงสร้างประโยค if clause

โครงสร้างของประโยคสามารถที่จะเอา If clause นำหน้า Main clause หรือ เอา Main clause นำหน้า
If clause ก็ได้ เช่น

หลักการใช้ First Conditional Sentences หรือ If clause type 1

ประโยคเงื่อนไขชนิดที่ 1

 นำไปใช้กับเหตุกาณ์ที่คิดว่าน่าจะเป็นจริงได้ หรือคาดว่าน่าจะเป็นไปได้ สรุปก็คือว่า มีความเป็นไปได้สูง

 นำไปใช้กับเหตุกาณ์ที่เพ้อฝัน หรือไม่เป็นจริง

could กับ might ใช้แทน would ได้นะ

 นำไปใช้กับเหตุกาณ์ที่ ตรงข้ามกับความเป็นจริง ณ ตอนนั้น ส่วนมากจะเป็นการรำพึงรำพันเสียดายภาย
