2. What do you think are the techniques and materials applied and used in
contemporary arts?
Every new era of art brings with it new techniques that define how the
movement evolves. Minimalism, found items, and large-scale paintings
are just a few of the styles used in contemporary art. Each of these
artists brings a unique perspective to the artistic community, and each is
regarded as a contender for the most influential method in
contemporary art. Keep an eye out for this next time, you're at an
exhibition; you'll find that they're far more important than you would
believe.

Activity 4.
Directions: Answer the following questions.

1. What can you say about the media used by Filipino Contemporary Artists?
Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Region are works of art created in the
current. A new group was required to negotiate the actual aesthetic rupture from
the traditional canon to the abstract, expressionist, symbolist, and other types of
creative expression found in modern art.

2. If you will become an Artist, considering the local materials available in your location:
A. What medium will you use? Why did you choose that medium?
I choose Pastels, because pastels come in a variety of forms, including hard, soft,
oil, Pan Pastels, and pastel pencils, each with its own set of features. This article
will offer you an overview of pastels, so you'll know what to look for while
shopping for them. You can skip the introduction and move straight to pastel
types if you want to know which brands I recommend.
B. What technique/art form will you use to craft your artwork? Why did you choose
that technique?
For me, Underpainting, when working with oils or acrylics, it's critical to never
start with white. To establish shadows and values, start with a burned umber
underpainting or a blend of burnt sienna and phthalo blues. Acrylics, which are
quick-drying and permanent, are probably the ideal media to employ at this
point.
