To whom it may concern:

Committee for a Better New Orleans (CBNO) is a non-partisan

nonprofit working to build healthy soil for New Orleans'
grassroots. We advocate for effective, accountable systems,
and empower people to understand, navigate, and influence
the decisions that impact our lives.

CBNO fully supports that students receiving a B.S. in

Engineering in the U.S. should receive instruction about
engineering failures and the lessons they teach. This is
needed because the engineering students of today will be
designing the engineered structures twenty years from now.

We cannot engineer progress without exploring and

addressing not just the successes, but also the failures and
challenges of our past.
