Aimed at lifelong fitness, this course guides students in strategies and techniques to make continual improvements in
many areas of wellness. Students, with the guidance of a certified instructor, can set personal goals in physical,
emotional and social wellness. Students will be offered several activities to take part in daily and will be graded on
their effort rather than their skill. However, with this years restrictions, we will do our best to be sure each student
takes part in healthy physical activity daily while keeping everyone’s safety and health as our first priority.
We will be dressing out and using the locker rooms. Uniforms will be available to purchase. $30 for a set ( shorts /
shirt ) YOU MUST WEAR ATHLETIC SHOES. NO CROCS / FLOPS / SLIDES...
1. Participation will be graded on effort. Our goal is to keep everyone moving for the entire period. We will
be attempting a rotation in order to maintain safety. The rotation will be based on numbers and spaces
available.
2. Students attending everyday will have assignments daily and will be expected to follow directions and take
part in their assignment for that day.
3. If student is absent the absence can be made up by writing a one-page summary of a sporting event that
has been attended, viewed on Television or one that was read about in an article. You can also bring in a
signed note from your coach if you attended a game or practice of a competitive sport. One is needed for
every day missed.
4. All medical excuses will be made up by the same summary referred to above. Again, one for each day
excused from participation
