With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes: Communicate in an oral way personal experience and daily life
situations, using appropriate pronunciation, grammatical structures and the
vocabulary studied in the contents.

The activity consists of:

STEP 1 CONTENT REVIEW

1. Go to Learning / E-book /Online Content English B1.

1.1 Study the content of modules 3,4,5 & 6 in the

E-book and do all the activities in those Modules.

You should study:

1.3. Based on the information from exercise 3 Module 6 EXPRESSING SIMILARITIES AND
DIFFERENCES, use the following adjectives (noisy-clean-expensive-dirty-crowed-polluted-
large-old-quite-modern-interesting) to compare a big city and a small town. Then which one
is better to live. Why? Give explanations and reasons. You can also use more adjectives if
you need. (Remember you can use superiority, equality, and inferiority
comparatives)

STEP 2. SPEAKING PRACTICE

OPTION A. ATTENDANCE TO PRACTICAL WORKSHOP

During the academic process, it is important to participate in practical workshops. in
accordance with it, keep in mind:
i. The tutor will share the schedule of the workshops that will be programmed.
ii. The invitation will be sent by e-mail, or other communication channels.
iii. During the practical workshops called STT it is important to participate actively with
your peers and tutor.
iv. Do not forget to turn on the camera during the session and take a screenshot, which
should be posted in the forum.
v. Evidence of participation in the workshops must be supported in the final document.

OPTION B. SYNCHRONOUS MOMENT.

As a part of the Pronunciation activity, you will have a synchronous moment with your
tutor and classmates, to put into practice your Speaking competence, by exchanging
information about your unknown place you pretend to promote.
In accordance with the Preparing My Traveling Guide chart, you sign up to one of the
encounters scheduled by the tutor in the agenda. (Your tutor will share the agenda
through email and in the forum), keep in mind:
 i. Remember that not only do you have to attend the session, but an active
participation also required to develop the Speaking competence and to get the score
needed.
ii. The teacher will also give you feedback, make comments and suggestions, or
congratulate participants during the session.
iii. It is very important to schedule your encounter on time, that way, you won’t have
any inconveniences to finish your activity successfully and get the score needed.

3.1 For the development of this step, it is necessary to make a slide presentation
relatedto the place you have selected to be promoted in the video presentation based
in the Preparing my traveling guide from Preparing My Traveling Guide Chart. (Step
2)

Video instructions:

For your speaking presentation via video, please, bear in mind:

● Make a video pretending that you are a tourist promoter.
● During the video recording you must show your face and the slides you made while
you are talking about your destination. Your video must have a maximum duration

● Show your ID at the beginning of the video. Record your video in real-time
showing your face, looking at the camera, and speaking in English. Make sure
you cover the information proposed in the chart in step 2.
● Upload your video to YouTube or Google Drive. Make sure it has public access,
and share the link in the forum.

STEP 4 – SELF ASSESSMENT

In this step, you are going to reflect on your performance in the course activities. To
do this:

4.1 Download the file “Annex 5 – Self-assessment”, located in the Learning Environment.
4.2 Fill in the form “Self-assessment template”
4.3 Take a screenshot and share it both in the forum and in the final document.

STEP 5 - FINAL DOCUMENT

5.1 Consolidate all the activities done in this Task in a PDF document and, upload
it individually on the Evaluation environment. Remember that the product of this task
must comply with the APA standards.
