1. What is VISA?

(Visitors International Stay Admission)

F1 VISA:

 F1 visa is a student visa where they can study in USA.

 The validity of student visa (F1 VISA) is 2 years.
 With F1 visa they cannot work officially in USA

CPT VISA:

 Curricular Practical Training (CPT) status allows international students with a F-1
student visa to gain work experience through employment training and paid
internship programs directly related to your major area of study.
 Validity of CPT Visa is 12 Months
 Here they are eligible to work but limited i.e., 20 hours per week only.

OPT VISA:

 Optional Practical Training (OPT) is 12-month work authorization available to F-1

international students who have been full-time students for at least two consecutive
semesters and plan to seek employment in the United States in their fields of study.
 Validity of OPT Visa is 12 months, and they can extend to one more year.

H1B VISA:
 H1B visa is a work visa
 H1B is nothing but Employer Visa or Sponsorship visa
 The validity of H1B is initial 3 years and it can be extend upto 3 more years so the
total validity of h1b visa is 6 years.
 With H1B VISA they are eligible to do only contract jobs
 H1B can work under employers only.
 If they want to do full time job they need to transfer their visa.

H4 VISA:
 H4 visa is a dependent visa of H1B.
 The validity of H4 visa is same as h1b validity (6 years )
 If H4 wants to work in usa They must be apply for EAD document
( EMPLOYEMENT AUTOURIZATION DOCUMENT)
L1 VISA:
 L1 visa is inter company visa or company visa
 With L1 visa they must be work with same organization which he get the visa
 They are not allowed to work with any other companies.
 The validity of L1 Visa is 7 years.
L2 VISA:
 L2 visa is a dependent visa of L1 VISA
 The validity of L2 visa is same as L1 visa validity (7 years)
 If L2 Visa holders wants to work in usa they must be apply for EAD document.
