Revision History
PURPOSE:
This manual is created so that the individual employees can install and configure
ProHance agent (client) on their respective personal laptops/desktops including
BYOD machines based on the ProHance roll-out and adoption policy for Straive.
PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:
Step 1 : Create a dedicated user profile in their Windows system for official work
using your ‘Darwinbox’ employee code with a letter ‘e’ (For example e700000) with
an “Administrator” user type. Press here for Windows 10/Windows 11 profile
creation / user creation steps.
a. Tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings
b. Tap or click Accounts, and then tap or click other accounts.
c. Tap or click Add an account, and then tap or click Sign in without a Microsoft
account
d. Tap or click Local account
e. Enter a username for the new account (using your ‘Darwinbox’ employee code
with a letter ‘e’ (For example e700000) with an “Administrator” user type
f. Click Next
g. Click Finish
Step 3: Download and install .Net Framework 4.8 Runtime for your appropriate
Operating System (OS). Link below:
• https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/net48
• Click on the Download .Net Framework 4.8 Runtime). Double click the
downloaded file and it will install .Net Framework 4.8 Runtime
Step 4: Download the ProHance BYOD installer from the below URL
• URL: https://tinyurl.com/mftt53nr
• Copy and paste the above provided URL in any browser and the link will open
and prompt for your Straive Username and Password, below screen snapshot
as guide. Login using your Straive provided login ID and password.
Step 5a: Application executable will show as per the below provided screen
snapshot:
Step 5b: Click on the download button from the top left-hand side as mentioned
below:
Step 5e: Double click the file to initiate the installation. Once Installation is
completed restart your Desktop / Laptop for the installation to complete.
Example:
Darwinbox Employee ID Username/login ID hostname
700000 e700000 DESKTOP-44G3NNB
Please restart your Desktop/Laptop and then login using the User ID created for
official purposes only (eg. e700000) into your personal or BYOD device
FAQ
Q1. HOW TO FIND THE OPERATING SYSTEM OF MY DESKTOP/LAPTOP?
The above command will show the below “About Windows” pop-up with the
Windows version as shown in the below sample screenshots:
Step a. Press Windows+R on your keyboard or search for ‘Run’ app (see yellow
highlight)
Step b. Command window would open in the command window as below. Please
type compmgmt.msc
Step c. Below screen would pop-out. Please select the “Local Users and Groups”
Step d. Select Users and then ‘right click’ and choose ‘New User..’
Step f: Now log-off and login back with the new Username and password that was
created.

Q2. What are the configurations/exceptions which may need to be configured for
antivirus.
For Windows OS:

Q3: How do I know that the ProHance Client is able to process the data and
communicate with the server?
You will see the ProHance agent in your windows tray with a green color as below:
Q4: What should I do when I encounter an issue and am not sure what to do next:

Step 5: Double-click the folder with your name/administrator to view the contents within
the old folder that was created. Select all the files that are Straive Specific and Copy those
files.
Step: 6
Navigate to the destination Work profile that you want to copy the files to. These can
typically be copied into the "Documents" folder. Right-click in an empty space in the
destination Work profile folder and select "Paste". The files should now be copied over to
the destination profile.
Step 8:
Once the files are copied, log off from the personal profile and login back to the Work
Profile
Step 9:
Select the folder in which the data was copied. The files should now be copied over to the
destination profile (Work profile) as mentioned below.
Test the files to ensure that they are working properly in the Work profile.
