Dear Sir/ Madam,

My purpose for applying to this PhD program is to both expand my solid education and to
create more opportunities for myself in the future. I wish in particular to be trained at an
advanced level in Counseling Psychology. My ultimate goal is to become an expert in a
particular domain and then deliver my research experience and ideas in the education field. I
believe that advanced training in a postgraduate program of good quality will realize my
dream.

As a highly motivated postgraduate majoring in M.S/M.PHIL (Counseling Psychology) at Africa

Nazarene University, Kenya, I have gained distinctive academic results, hands-on experience
in different research areas and leadership skills. With my two years’ consistent efforts and
keen interest, my GPA (3.2) and with 2 years’ consistent efforts. Besides courses listed on my
transcript, I did a lot of counselling in relation to these courses. My outstanding academic
performance directed me to get a chance to work with a research group which in turn led me
to know how to publish research papers in international journals.
