The controlled movements that are to be found in all good designs are called rhythm. There are
three techniques of creating rhythm in the picture plane namely: repetition, alternation and
progression.

1. Write thirteen particulars on the back of A3 paper.


2. Create pictures as an examples of the following:
a) Create cooking pots whereby you apply rhythm as an example of repetition.
b) Create domestic animals whereby you apply rhythm as an example of alternation.
d) Create furrows whereby you apply rhythm as an example of progression.
Design each picture on its own paper.
