AT Fluid Level Check (No Dipstick)

Application/QualifierProcedure
0AW Connect a scan tool to monitor transmission fluid temperature. Start the engine and run at
2,500 RPM briefly. Press brake pedal and shift transmission between Reverse and Drive
pausing in each for 3 seconds while the engine idles. Repeat last step 3 times. Press brake
pedal and shift transmission between P, R, N, D, S, pausing in each for 3 seconds. Remove
the ATF inspection plug when the ATF reaches 95°F (30°C). The ATF level is correct if a
small amount of fluid drains from the inspection (Fill) plug when the ATF temperature is
between 95°F (30°C) and 113°F (50°C). Tighten a new ATF inspection Plug to 22 ft-lbs
(30Nm).

viscosity grade is not available in your area, be sure to use a viscosity grade suitable for the climate, season, and

standards listed.
