It is widely believed that pollution issues can be solved by raising taxes on many fields of

industries. However, some people agree that there still exists better alternative ways to work out
this problem.
On the one hand, it is undoubted that uncontrolled Carbon dioxide emission to the environment
directly from various industries is one of the biggest reasons for pollution.
Moreover, some fields of manufacturing require a great deal of non-recyclable material for
example plastic, which can lead to various long-term consequences. Take decomposition ability
for example. Plastic demands a long period to decompose completely, which can affect the
sanitation of the city. Furthermore, the only way to help it disintegrate faster is by burning it. At
that point, the air pollution will be reiterated. Hence, increasing tax on various industries will
decrease pollution. However, this way still affects the factories out there which execute the
rules.
On the other hand, my view is that there are better alternative ways to work out this issue. First
of all, the government can impose tighter rules regarding the amount of waste that can be
released or when they can do that. And if they can do that, the factories will be fined or knocked
down. This way not only warns the factory owners but also does not influence the consumer
with high costs due to tax. Another effective way is that authorities just levy a tax on some
industries which are over-used non-recyclable material. Limiting the use of that material will help
authorities easily regulate the impact of manufacturing on the environment.
In conclusion, although many individuals say that pollution issues can be reduced by raising
taxes on many fields of industries, it is my firm belief that a great deal of other effective ways still
work out this problem.
