PURPOSE
This procedure describes the mechanism for HSE Awareness Training System within Gas
& Oil Pakistan Ltd.

SCOPE
This procedure is applicable to all departments / sections of Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd.
whose function is covered in Management System.

RESPONSIBILITIES
HR department is responsible for effective implementation of this procedure.

It is the responsibility of the MR to ensure that adequate resources are made available for
providing employees suitable and sufficient training to enable them to work in a healthy
and safe manner while protecting the environment.

It is the responsibility of all employees to actively participate in all required HSE


awareness & trainings which are organized for them.

Departmental/ Sectional Heads are responsible to ensure that all new employees must
receive induction training prior to start of work.

PROCEDURE
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
MR is responsible for identifying the training needs for their team members. All
employees hired to work for Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. are hired on the basis of appropriate
education, skill, training and experience. Any employee hired before the implementation
date of the HSE management system is made part of the management system based
upon their competency level, education, training and experience. Trainings, which are
conducted internally and by third party, are maintained in the Training database.

Each new employee is given training including but not limited to:
 HSE Awareness Basic Training.
 HSE Management System of Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd.

All employees are evaluated once in a year by the Human Resource and Service
Department in consultation with HSE Section to determine training needs and ensure
continual improvement.

Employee training is documented in the Training Database. After training is completed,


records are submitted to the Human Resource and Services Department and the Training
Database is updated accordingly. The Training Database identifies:
 Type of Training
 Course Name
 Participants Names
 Course Duration
 Course Start Date
 Course End Date

The resources needed to implement the HSE management system and improve its
effectiveness, including addition of human resources, are addressed during Management
Review. The requirements can also be communicated to management through email/
memorandums.

Additional training may be performed as deemed necessary by Departmental Head or


their designated person. MR is responsible for ensuring that employees are appropriately
trained and records maintained. Competency in the subject matter is determined by the
instructor and documented.
