Water Resistant Tile Adhesive

F 430 (C2 E)

Section A: General Comments

Temperature Restrictions

It is suggested that, for temperatures higher than 35°C, the following guidelines are adopted as

good working practices:

I. Store unmixed materials in a cool (preferably temperature controlled) environment,

avoiding exposure to direct sunlight.
II. Arranging shade protection if necessary, application equipment should be in a moderate
tempreature.
III. Try to avoid application during the hottest times of the day, arrange temporary shading as
necessary.

Equipment

It is suggested that the following list of equipment is used as a minimum requirement

✓ Protective clothing: Protective overalls

Good quality gloves
goggles and face mask

✓ Preparation equipment: Wire brush

Proprietary blasting equipment

✓ Application equipment: Flat trowel

Serrated trowel

SectionB:B:Application
Section ApplicationMethod
Method

Surface preparation

• Clean the selected substrate and remove any dust, unsound materials, oil, paint, grease
etc.
• Make sure to spray enough amount of water to achieve a moist substrate.

Mixing

• The mixing should be done in a suitable sized mixing vessel, with 40 litres capacity.
• Pour 5.5 ltrs of water into the mixing vessel and slowely add F 430, respectively.
• Check the consistency and the homogeneity of the mix. The homogeneity is the condition
where there are no lumps and the consistency is uniform. Continue mixing until a
homogeneous and consistent state is achieved.

Application

• The application should be a controlled process.

• The open pot life of the adhesive will permit a maximum of 1m² applications
before the material starts hardening.
• Select the area of application and spread the adhesive using a flat trowel.
• The application should be at a thickness of 6- 10 mm.
• Comb the surface and place the tile.
• Press the marble or tiles onto the adhesive with a twisting motion.

Cleaning

• All tools must be cleaned immediately after application. If the material sets on the tools, then
mechanical cleaning will be required.

Section C: Approval and Variations

-This method statement is offered by Exeed premium Dry Mortar as a ‘standard proposal’ for the
application of F 430. It remains the responsibility of the Engineer to determine the correct
method for any given application.
